I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Cupid

I'm Available

It was a bitterly cold day in January 2023 when I got a call from a local vet's office that I'll never forget: One of their clients just reported seeing a cat running through her yard with an arrow pierced through its back. I dropped everything and drove to the site. Despite the freezing temperatures, my fellow volunteers and I searched for hours that night. And then hours became days. Four days after the initial sighting, he was spotted on an outdoor camera, still pierced with an arrow.  Finally, on day eight, when hope was fading, we got him!

He was in rough shape when I loaded him into my truck and he spent a week in the hospital. While his physical wounds healed relatively quickly, his emotional ones are still a work in progress.  He is shy when you first meet him, he may even hiss.  Once he warms up, he loves pets and will rub up against you.  He will do best in a quieter home with another cat.  He would love to be adopted with his best buddy, Socks (female tuxedo).  They were together when we trapped Cupid.  Preference will be given to someone that is willing to adopt them together.  He will need someone to be patient with him while he settles into his new home (Socks will help him adjust to a new place).  Although he took his name from being shot with an arrow, we now know it to symbolize that he will get to have a forever home with his loving companion, Socks!
