Dubh-Dove is a pretty, black-haired lass who was trapped as a youngster at a feral colony. It was hoped that she was still young enough to be socialized, because it just was not safe for her to return where she was. She came into foster care, was spayed and fully vetted. We took things slow with her, getting her used to people and a life indoors.
Eventually, Duv-Duv became a resident of the Stray Cat Blues facility, Whiskers Way Station (WWS). We like to call WWS the "SCB Finishing School". Here she gets exposure to our many volunteers who interact with her daily. She is thriving with all of the love and attention she is getting. She is a petite, quiet girl who is almost 2 years old. She can be playful and curious, but most of all, she loves being pet. If you try to stop petting her, she will gently grab your hand so that you don’t stop! She is a genuinely sweet cat who is an easy-keeper. She will make an excellent companion kitty. Dovey is now ready to graduate - she is ready for her fur-ever home!
Duv would do best in a quiet home. She would be fine as an only cat or in a home with a calm, non-aggressive cat as a friend. Since she had a late start on socialization, she will have an easier time adjusting with the help of an adopter who has experience with shy kitties. She will warm up very quickly if she feels safe and secure.
You will notice that Dubh-Dove goes by many nicknames, but this is her official name.
Dubh-Dove’s estimated date of birth is 6/20/2021.
