Adoption Process

So You Want To Adopt Your New Best Friend

Stray Cat Blues Rescue will consider adoptive families in the Montgomery, Bucks and other suburban Philadelphia counties. This is simply due to logistics and distance of travel for our volunteers. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the cat's background and your family's needs. Every cat is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right cat with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.

If you are willing to wait for the right animal to be matched to you,
you are an ideal candidate for Stray Cat Blues Rescue. As our success rate proves, these precious cats are well worth the wait.

OUR PROCESS

Apply

We appreciate you wanting to bring a cat into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.

Review

We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.

Finding Your Pet

Once approved to adopt, the search for your cat begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate pets currently in our foster care program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing cats in our care that you are specifically interested in.
