Success Stories

We're happy to tell you the cats below have found their furever homes through Stray Cat Blues! Please visit our available cats page to see the cats currently available.

Daisy

Daisy got trial adopted in late June and it was finalized in early July. She was rescued in October from a big rainstorm and it's been a rollercoaster! Her first adoption didn’t go well and she was returned in less than 24 hours for being "too scary." It's a long story but apparently the police were called! We quickly learned that she needed to be an only pet in a home with no small children. She's also on a special diet for sensitive skin and she's a litter box princess, so she's high maintenance! 👑

Anyway, her adoption mama took a chance on her and it's a perfect match! She loves supervising her mama work and making sure the cursor is moving properly. She has a set of pink/blue sparkly pompoms that she LOVES batting, chasing and bunny kicking around. As hard as she plays, she naps even harder from her favorite spot on the couch, next to mama watching TV, or sharing mama’s pillow at night!

Abby

Abby had a happy home with three other cats for thirteen years. Then their person died. The next year was difficult: fed in an empty house, rescued by Stray Cat Blues and lived in a foster’s home, adopted, returned, went Whiskers Way Station (the finishing school for shy cats), to PetSmart, and back to Whiskers Way Station.

We just had a new volunteer join us at Stray Cat Blues. She spent one morning a week at Whiskers Way Station feeding all the cats and cleaning cages. There was this lovely little tuxedo cat in the kitten room that was always on her lap when she was in the room but hissed at everyone else. Our volunteer was not looking for a second cat. She’s a senior person and generally only considered senior cats (not wanting to have a cat outlive her). Then she got an email that said, “Poor senior Abby, we really must find her a home.” Abby is a senior? Abby was taken right home with our volunteer. She is a truly wonderful cat. She spends almost all day and night with our volunteer - on her, next to her, or on the bed. Abby has decided she owns her right leg and her other cat (also from Stray Cat Blues) owns her left leg. The cats are often on her lap at the same time. Abby picked our volunteer and they have a wonderful time together.

"My boyfriend and I just adopted our Weasley (formerly known as Blaze) from Stray Cat Blues this week! He was staying up in North Wales. They were great about working with us when we wanted to change our pick up day with short notice to allow to have him for the holidays. Everyone is adjusting well and Weasley is LOVING all of the belly rubs he's getting!!! Thank you Stray Cat Blues!!!
