Bini was crying out for help and we heard him...

We never want to get the call about a cat in need currently living out his life in a feral colony. What makes it worse is when the cat is injured and helpless. Bini first arrived at Stray Cat Blues after we received the pleas for help through our Facebook Army.

Wasting no time, Jess, one of our gracious fosters, was able to get Bini the emergency help he needed at Green Lane Veterinary. Bini was in and out of the vet for weeks due to a tail injury that proved both painful and serious, later resulting in amputation that would prove life saving.

Bini's injury

Bini’s treatment was ongoing. He often needed laser treatments and pain medications to help ease the discomfort as his tail healed. Bini would often spend his days crying out, something not common for feral cats. Unfortunately, this type of injury is common in feral cats

Bini’s injuries are often the result of a car engine burn. Oftentimes, feral cats spend the cold nights curled up under the hood of a car to keep warm. Although Bini was able to get the help he deserved, not all feral cats have someone looking out for them. Just a friendly reminder - always check under the hood of your car in cold weather!
