Join Us to Help More Cats Like Gladys 🌟
Gladys was found living in a pile of trash at a gas station in Philadelphia. She was starving and pregnant when she was taken into foster care with Stray Cat Blues. She delivered only one kitten who, sadly, didn’t survive. Gladys was stressed and confused. She was clearly someone’s cat at one time and she craved attention from her foster mom. […]
Together, we can save all 12 colonies of homeless & feral cats 🐈❤️
Rescue work isn’t all cuddling kittens (though there’s plenty of that!). Far too much of it involves seeing cats on their worst day, where humans have let them down through neglect, indifference, or even cruelty. Our trappers work all hours of the day to respond to calls for help to TNR cats (trap, neuter, and return), as well as vaccinating and frequently getting additional medical treatment for injured cats. Our trappers also work tirelessly to get kittens and friendly adults into foster care. Sometimes we’re too late. […]
The Story of Jumba: Tiny Alien Kitten 🛸
Jumba pronounced Joo-mba (He is named after one of the aliens in Lilo & Stitch). On April 18th, only 5 minutes before closing, we got a call from ACCT Philly asking us if we were able to pull some kittens. As always, we came together as a team and were able to pull another 10 kittens. Kittens in shelters are at very high risk of euthanasia, due to the constant care they require, that unfortunately most shelters do not have the resources for. […]
Countdown the 12 Cats of Whiskers Way Station With Us 🔔
These are the last 12 kitties that graduated from our finishing school, Whiskers Way Station (WWS) on their way to a happy life in loving homes. Our socializers worked their magic for weeks and in some cases months to help them prepare for the next chapter in their lives. Please help us make our target so we can help more stray, scared, homeless, and starving kitties. […]
Get in the Paw-liday Spirit 🎁 Give a Gift, Save a Cat!
Lilo was born outside, to a stray cat mom. Some kind volunteers with Stray Cat Blues trapped her family to get them all spayed and vaccinated. They thought that the kittens, at about 3 months old, may still be young enough to be socialized and turned into house cats. Initially, the youngsters didn’t think that was a good idea, and under protest they went into foster care. […]

Cats came running from everywhere…
We rely on your donations to help those cats who need it most. As a trapper, I see the suffering firsthand. Here is just one story and how your donations can help stray and community cats.
A few months ago, I was contacted by a man complaining that stray cats were all over his property. When I went to assess the situation, I noticed that the cats seemed to be coming from a property adjacent to his. So I drove next door, and at the sound of my car, cats came running from everywhere […]
Never Abandoned, Always Adopted! 🐾❤️
When Whisper was a kitten in 2021, she was adopted out by Stray Cat Blues to what we thought would be her forever home. Then in March of 2023, she was trapped by one of our rescue partners, the Cat Collaborative, in a colony in Northeast Philly. They scanned her for a microchip and realized she was an Stray Cat Blues cat! […]
Rags To Riches
Sweet Pea, Scarlett, Sabrina, and Saffron were rescued from the parking lot behind North Wales Pub in North Wales. There were five kittens and one had already been hit by a car by the time Stray Cat Blues was able to head out to assess the situation. These 10 week old kitties were living with their mom under an abandoned car behind a shed. […]
How a Big-Hearted Rescuer Fell for a Big-Headed Kitten
We remember when the desperate plea from Philly ACCT came out “Kitten with swollen head.” Understatement of the year. She is now living her best life! It’s been such a joy watching her grow into the beautiful, curious, smart, and loving cat that she’s become, and we are so thankful that she decided to be a part of our loving family. […]
One friend can change your whole life.
Penny was rescued as part of TNR project in August of 2021. She was already about 10 months old, and edging past the window of successfully transitioning from a feral kitten to a house cat. Rather than returning her to the feral colony, Penny’s foster thought she showed promise and set to work on her socialization. She soon realized that Penny needed a lot more work than she was able to give […]
